Jie Geng, Platycodon (Platycodon Grandiflorus) is a perennial herb, 30 to 90 cm height. The whole plant is glabrous. Roots are fleshy, cylindrical, and branched sometimes. Erect stems are single or branched. Leaves are nearly sessile. Solitarily flower grows on the top of the stem, or a few of them form sparsely racemes. Blue-purple calyx is campanulate. Seeds are ovoid and with three edges. Flowering period is from July to September and fruiting phase is from August to October.

Directions
Shake well before use. Take 20-30 drops, three times a day or as directed by your practitioner. The best way to use liquid herbal glycerites is to put the suggested amount in a glass of water, tea, or juice and drink the entire contents. Glycerites can also be administered directly into the mouth without the assistance of water however some glycerites are unpalatable which is why most people prefer to dilute them into a beverage.
