Bromelain is a protein extract derived from the stems of pineapples, although it exists in all parts of the fresh plant and fruit. Ananas Comosus is a perennial herbaceous plant, the height of which varies from 60 to 100 cm. The stem of the plant is shortened, succulent. Pineapple flowers are purple,or white. Pineapple fruit is a large golden yellow fruit that looks like a huge cone, consists of juicy berries and a fibrous receptacle.
